the carb is noted for stripped threads, you'll probably need to retap the holes.

Can I just lock tite it in there or something cuz I tightened them and it doesn't wiggle anymore.

Sure, as long as the treads are still good.

I know this is an old thread but on the loose carb issue I was flying today and it shut off on me luckily it didn’t get damaged. There was fuel around the front of the engine and the carb was loose again I tightened them and it firmed up but the one side is stripped. The other side is still good. Is it worth retapping? How much does that take. I never had put locktite on the screws.

I have replaced several stripped carb screws. Usually they are metric and I end up replacing them with the next larger size of standard, 4-40 or 6-32 so I don't have to make the hole too much bigger. You can get a tap and screw at hobby shop or hardware store for around $5.00 or less. take the carb off the engine so you don't get shavings in crankcase. not sure if locktite will handle heat but a lock washer will

K I’m having a hard time finding a hobby shop that will do it. Does anyone know of any in northeast Iowa?

Or what hardware store
