slipping pull start
 
My pullstart just started not catching. It's not a constant problem. any thought on whats wrong and how to fix it?(it's not an old pullstart, it's fairly new and was workign fine for quite a while

Generally there are only two things that give this. One. the sprag is worn out. Being relatively new that should not be the fault.

The second is having the lubricant get gummy, keeping the sprag rollers from engaging.

Pull the one-way nut and wash it with rubbing alcohol, scrub as much as you can, then dry it and make sure yu've not left any wsh cloth threads or bristles from your brush in it, consult your user's manual to relube it, reassemble and go.

If you do nothave a recommended lube ypu can make a thin slurry of Lubriplate (or other white grease) and some after run oil and use that.
