Muffler for MVVS 10cc R/C

I have been wanting to test an MVVS 10cc as a diesel for some time. I was just able to purchase a glow version with the diesel head included. (Perhaps I bought it from one of you). Now I need to find a muffler/pipe which will fit it because it was sold sans muffler. Can anybody tell me what muffler fits the MVVS 10cc? Better yet does anybody have one I can buy? Many thanks. Dan

Dan, this an MVVS 61 I owned several years ago, mounted on it the quiet version, there were about four styles available for them. It too had a Diesel head and it was a fine Diesel.

I appreciate the reply. But I am not sure how this helps me. What I was asking was what kind of muffler will fit the MVVS 10cc. do you know what kind the muffler is in the picture? Thanks. Dan

I’m pretty sure that’s an MVVS muffler. Posting the screw spacing and port size helps others not familiar with your specific engine to find alternatives.

Personally, I’d be looking for a Davis Soundmaster muffler. Very quiet and don’t suck the life out of the engine. They have some weight to them, but the sound and tone make up for that. I have two of them myself.

Here is a handy chart for the MAC muffler/headers. It shows the spacing and what similar motors may fit. MACS Side Exhaust

That is indeed an MVVS muffler # 3255-a, clearly shown on the specs page I posted for him. I guess he didn't bother to look. Davis Sound Master, good suggestion. With the phlanged Sound Masters you drill your own holes.

The Soundmasters I have have holes drilled in the muffler flange as well as a strap for strap-on installs. I like the latter method as it allows being able to use them on multiple engines. Their sound is very nice and they are much quieter than many OEM mufflers. There is a weight penalty, but I feel it’s worth it.

Hi!
I have lots of spare parts (and engines) for the MVVS line of engines.
I have both the "new" style of silencer for the 10-15cc engines (not held by pop rivets like the one in the picture below) and the steel one (originated from a gas engine).

This is a big help. Mine is a bold on configuration. What do you ask for these respective orphaned mufflers? PM me? Head up. I will be out of town between November 30 and December 4. REplies may be delayed.
