begginner recomends
Hello; Well just jump on in, pick one you like, it's hard to make a mistake nowadays. Anything in that size will likely be easy to run with a shallow learning curve. My personal choice would be an OS 91 Surpass, but then I'm partial to four strokes. Or a Saito 72. Start em early on 4 strokes and they'll never suffer the two stroke (ah-hem) experience. I flew tow of my planes today, a 30 Saito powered pixie biplane, and a Laser powered Taube. A very pleasant day. Other people might recommend other engines, but it is true that it is hard to buy a stinker these days.

True,4 strokes are awesome.I own more 4 strokers then 2 strokes.But for a beginner,if you can afford it,os 61 fx or la is great.Also,the thunder tiger engines cant be beat for reliability and price.You wont go wrong with either .

The TT .60 size trainer will fly fine on anything from the Irvine .53 up to a .75 two-stroke. the .91 4-stroke is at the extreme upper limit for the plane... a .72 size 4-stroke puts out closer to the same power as a .61 2-stroke.
The trainer you chose os very nice. you should be happy with it. Just don't hit any trees. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] to help avoi knocking the nosewheel mount ut of the frewall... make sure the plane sits level, not nose-up on the ground. If the bottom f the wing is level to appx 3 deg + incidence when the plane is stting still its right. too long on the nosegear is one of the main reasons for ripping the firewall out of the plane on landing. |

Thanks every one appreciate you responding to my questions.Also FH thanks for the nose wheel tip,everything I've read about this plane,some one destroyed the firewall,I'll be sure to reinforce it and correct the level of the plane,of course mine is just as you described! Thanks again

Actually....not flaring the plane is the #1 reason for ripping the firewall out on landing.
Don't re-engineer the model...learn how to fly it! Nite |
