Evo.46 transition problems
Help? I thought I was an Expert untill I met this Engine. It's really bad because I need REALLY GOOD Transitioning for 3D flying.
Help!!! [:o] |
RE: Evo.46 transition problems
I ran out of adjustability w/ mine and took off those little blue limiting collars. And I ground down the roll pin on the high speed needle. Just out of curiosity, what type of plug did yours come with? Mine had what looks like a 4 stroke plug, I believe called a (Hangar 9) "Super Plug". I replaced it w/ an O.S. type F 4 stroke plug, and my problem went away (and mine's inverted). You being in Tx. though, maybe you wouldn't want so hot a plug?

RE: Evo.46 transition problems
I doubt if you'll be able to get the rapid transition around 3/4 throttle with the sport tuned Evo. 46. Engines like the MVVS, Rossi or Irvine do give that transition to maintain a hover and the rest of the 3D flight. I've seen the OS 46FX, TT Pro 46 or the ST not give a good transition in that range. My Evo 46 runs and starts great as a sport engine, but it's carb. and timing won't cut it.

I'll try a few other plugs I have laying around. Also that 4 stroke plug (thunderbolt for me) shouldent be too warm in the current winter weather[8D] Also, I will definitly try adding a MousseCan Muffler to see if that helps. |
