YS63 Regulator Question

The regulator body on my 63 has a raised tab. Should it be positioned to the front or rear?

Thanks

Rear.

What was floating arount in there causing your problem?

Thanks!

I didn't see a thing!

Has YS chanced the plunger? Mine looks like silicone on the spring side, and a brass plate on the motor side. I couldn't figure how to take it apart.

I'll run it again tomorrow.

It doesn't take a big chunk in there to upset the regulator. A small sliver of plastic swarf from your fuel tank is all it takes.

The silicone bit is press-fitted onto the brass plunger (and is a PITA to find if you drop it, so be careful!) As long as you've flushed the regulator body out with alcohol or fuel you should be OK. Make sure you don't snag the diaphragm when you reattach the regulator assembly.
