Perry pump carb
Just picked up a never run 7.5cc K&B fan engine at a great price. Its a F.I.R.E setup and has a perry pump at the rear and a perry carb . Can anyone help me with the screw adjustment where fuel enters the carb, it is some sort of control for the pressurized fuel i'm guessing.
How should I adjust this? and can I run a inflight mixture valve with this setup?. Thanks |
RE: Perry pump carb
Adam:
That "Extra" screw is a flow regulator for inverted flight. Since the carb is actually higher than the pump when upright, sometimes the engine tends to go rich when flying inverted. Set the engine mixture adjustments with the plane held upright and level, then turn it over. If the engine runs the same upright and inverted, leave the regulator screw turned all the way in. If it goes rich back the screw out a little at a time and recheck until upright and inverted are the same. Usually no adjustment is needed. Bill. |
RE: Perry pump carb
Excuse me, forgot the second question. Yes, you can use an in flight mixture adjustment.
