Mecoa .32 transition problem

I just RX'd my new .32 Mecoa engine.

I broke the engine in on a 9 x 6 prop and ran it bubbling rich first tank than the second 3 tanks I ran them just rich.

My question is no matter what I do I can't get a good transition between low and high.

The engine runs great at idle
The engine runs great at WOT

The engine acts like it's loading up in midrange.
All this was done on Bench Run..

I have since put it on my outlaw and still the same thing. I've switch to a apc 9 x 7 prop and it tachs around 15k rpm. The engine still runs good at idle and at WOT but midrange still loads up.

All testing was done from WOT to idle down for 10 sec then WOT. It chokes no matter what I do either leaning out or riching up the low end.

I've tried K&B plug, Miricle plug, OS Type F plug. So far the miracle plug is the most reliable for helping out in the midrange problem. all other plugs the engine would quit during the transition.

Using Omega 25% fuel -is that to much nitro for this engine?

Any comments would be welcome.

Mecoa .32 transition problem

i believe your problem is with the low speed adjustment, this is usually on the other side of the high speed needle (not the screw that hold the throttle barrel), the low speed needle adjusts teh low and midrange settings, while the high speed works only when you have wide opoen throttle.

Patrick
