TT pro .46 problems
 

Hey guys here is the problem I am having with this motor.

It seems to be "Cold Natured" meaning it takes a few min. to crank up and you got to let it run for 30 sec. or so before you can begin to rev it up.
Its not dependable. After I rev it up and fly, it might run fine for a flight or two and then the suddenly start coughing and acting up.

I am running 15% nitro and a Fox glow plug in it. I dont this this is the problem b/c I have another pro .46 that runs great on the same set up.

If your compression is good (good piston & sleeve and all bolts & the glowplug are properly tightened) and you don't have any air leaks the only things that could be wrong would be trash caught in the fuel line at the carb, etc. (clear the problem and use a filter), bad fuel or you need another glowplug. Personally I use OS #8 glowplugs in ALL of my 2 cycle glow engines. I used to use Fox R/C long glowplugs but found the OS #8 glowplug offered better overall performance.

If you actually read the Thunder Tiger Pro operating instructions it states to this effect:
"Fox plugs, while being of excellent quality, tend to be too cold and not generally reccommended for Thunder Tiger engines." I think that changing to an OS or Sig GP 002 plug will make the engine run much better. Changing the plug on your other 46 may even make it run better too.

Hi!
What do you mean by: "Warm it up"! ??
I suspect you mean ...untill it reponds to max rpm from the moment you give full power!
If this is so you have just simply set the idle mixture screw too lean!
All engines respond at once to full power from the moment they have been started cold or hot doesn't mean anything ...if you have set the idle mixture correct that is;).
