Fuel for 4 stroke
I recently sold helicopter and have new gallon of "Cool Power Helicopter 30%". What are recommendations for USE or NOT USE in O.S. or Saito 4 stroke??? Thanks for input. Richard

Fuel for saito and os
Heli fuel for an OS is not recommended. Use Wildcat 10% with 80/20 synthetic blend for your os. Works the BEST!
As for the Saito. I just bought one today and reading the manual is doesnt recommended this fuel, BUT I know people use it with these engines and get GREAT results. If you go to horizonhobby.com they recommended 30 % heli fuel for maximum performance. So the bottom line... go ahead and use the heli 30% fuel for the Saito, but not for the os. My .2 cents |
Fuel for 4 stroke
I'll assume its got the 20% oil which is normal for heli fuel.
Mix it with 2 gallons of 10% 4-stroke fuel, with appropruiate oil content. You'll have a bit over 15% nitro, and the castor/synth mix normally found in 4-stroke fuel will mix fine with the synth oil from the heli fuel. Cince the current O.S. recommendation is 20% oil with a portion being castor... should end up just about right. I run 15% heli fuel in my O.S. 91 FS when I can't find other fuel with sufficient oil content. It seems to like this better than normal 4-stroke fuel. :D But I still like to have some castor content... (and the engine maker specifies it needs castor) |
Fuel for 4 stroke
I've been running cool power 30% in all my Saito's for 2 years now, WOW what a difference. I have friends that run it in their OS engines with great results. I wish it didn't COST SO MUCH.
