Four stroke question
I have never owned a four stroke engine but feel the need to :D I guess I just want what I don't have. Anyway I was wondering what engines are considered good and which ones are bad if any. Is there one that is better for the money. (I am not talking specific models just brands.) Any input would be great.

Four stroke question
I have three saito's, and an os. The saito is lighter than the same size os. Both brands are great engines with good power! The saito is a little fussy until it is broke-in. After that they run like a champ. The os was a dream from the beginning. It never kicked back on startup and I could even start it by turning it back wards on compression. I have around 10 fights on it and it just gets more and more powerful.
I have always liked Saito, but OS is every bit as good, except maybe for the weight penalty. Hope this helps. |
Four stroke question
I've not had to many but from what I know I love my Saito 91. I also have a few OS that are good engines, an old worn out ASP 46, it leaks out of places it probably should'nt but has never failed, although somewhat sluggish in transition I got it well used so I do not know what they are like new. A few Norvells in the smaller displacement, that run really good once broken in but are a little finicky. and a couple MDS 48 that I had a lot of problems with because I did not know what I was doing, they do run good now, power is not quite that of an OS 46fx. Good luck. Sorry I forgot this question refers to 4-strokes, Saito is my only one but it is a sweethart.

Four stroke question
I have a few OS's, one Saito, and two YS's. The OS and Saito are more user freindly.
Good luck with your future 4 stroke. |

Four stroke question
I have had (and still have) a bunch. For starters, I HIGHLY recommend the OS Surpass 70, or 91.

What about the Thunder Tiger 91?

Four stroke question
For ease of operation (especially a new comer to four strokes) I like the O.S. or Saito engines. However, for all out power I LOVE the YS four strokes. They are not hard to run, but they ARE different than other four strokes to set up and tune.
