How do i start this engine?

I've got an old enya 06 engine and i want to see if it works.
I've never worked with theese types of engines before so I've no idea how to start it.
This is what the engine looks like: [link]http://rools.net/uploads/temp/engine.jpg[/link]
How do i start it and do i need any additional parts exept mounting equipment, tank, tubing and fuel?

Hello Robert; That engine looks like a diesel to me, use diesel fuel in it in stead of alcohol based fuel. If you post this on the "Everything Diesel" page, you will have a whole bunch of "diesel experts" commenting.

It not only looks like a diesel, it is a diesel.
fuel is equal parts of (Di-Ethyl)ether, lamp oil (kerosene) and castor oil. (do not use silicone fuel line, but gas resistant tubing)
The top screw lever controls compression. You set it like this:
fit a 7x4 prop, and rock the piston through compression, whilst slowly screwing in the compression lever, until the counter-piston touches the piston in top dead center. Then back off about half a turn on the compression screw, and smartly flick the prop. You should hear the counterpiston klick back into it's proper position for starting.
Open the fuel needle 3 turns, and get some fuel up to the carb.
inject about 2 drops of fuel into the carb and open exhaust port.
Flick the prop till it starts.
Juggle compression and fuel needle for best running. The motor should not sound labouring and muffled, but should have a nice sharp exhaust crackle, so keep the compression low enough to accomplish this.
The diesel will start burping when too lean (or with too large a prop), but will not quit, nor overheat like a glow engine does.

Just as a consideration - don't use an electric starter on this engine or you will trash the conrod.

You will need to belt the prop to get it going, though...
