Saito 72 carb
This maybe a dumb question please bear with me.I want to mount a Saito 72 horizontally. I would prefer to remove the carb and reinstall it 180 degrees from its original placement. This would place the needle valve up on top with easier access. It looks like there are 2 screws to remove , flip the carb over and reinstall the screws. Is the any reason I shouldn't do this? I've done it with 2 stroke motors but this is my first 4 stoke. Mike

RE: Saito 72 carb
The Saito 72 has a problem with leaking at the manifold to head joint. While you are moving the carb would be a good time to put a little silicone around the manifold pipe's outside gasket area before you stick it back in the hole. Don't get any silicone inside the pipe.

Also, while you have the carb out of the way, is a good time to snug up the backplate retaining bolts.
