can header go up from engine? help

Hey the only way i can mount a tuned pipe to my engine is by mounting it on its side, but on the side where the exaust faces up.... if i ran a tuned pipe w/ header facing upwards will that cause problems running the engine? just wondering

As long as the length and volume are the same it doesn't matter
