Thunder tiger pro46
I want to remove the cranshaft from my TT pro46 but I don't have the manual and it seems to have a lock ring on the part where the spinner goes.
I can't figure out how to remove it and remove the crankshaft  Any help will be appreciate. Thanks |
Hub Removal
Hi,
You need a puller that slips over the machined relief on the hub and is then tightened into the center in the end of the crankshaft to remove it properly. O.S. used to advertise one, but I'm certain it would be quite pricey if it's still available. I made one using 1 1/2" X 3/8" sq. flat bar. Drilling & radius a hole in the center to fit the Hub. I then crossed drilled it. Split it (Cut it in half). I then bolted it together over the hub with the engine raised and blocked and gently pressed it off. It didn't take much to remove it. It seem's to be a very light press fit. I'm sure there are some "Primitive" technique's out there, but I really don't want to suggest any. Pat. |

I'm gonna try it today, I have what we call in french a ''Dish'' puller, I don't have the English term for it but it should work.
Thanks Marc |
