Evolution 1.00
Hey Guys, I am looking for horse power ratings for this motor and have come up short. Thanks for your help.

RE: Evolution 1.00
Don't look at horsepower, it's smoke and mirrors. High horsepower ratings are achieved at very high rpm, much too high for sport flying, usually 15,000-16,000 rpm.
All reports say it's a good engine, better than a .91 and worse than a 1.20. I have heard that it turns slightly less than the OS 1.08, but it also weighs a lot less. |

We don't quote hp numbers on our Evolution glow engines but do quote a benchmark propellor for your comparison. The benchmark prop for the EVO 1.00 is APC 14x6 at 11,400 rpm. You can use this number to compare to other engines either above or below this in size to get a relative hp number for your use. We think you'll find the engine to be strong, a reliable performer, and very easy to use.

www.bissonmufflers.com. They have all of the mufflers you might want. They might not come pre-tapped for smoke, that that's not hard to do. That is, if you're wanting a pitts style muffler.

Slimline offers a smoke system that might be of interest.

Thanks guys. I looked into those companies already, and last night, upon doing some research, I decided that I am going to modify the stock muffler with some copper tubing inside to pre heat the smoke oil and then have it insert the oil into the muffler right at the exaust port. The opinions I've seen have stated that this is the best way to get smoke in a 2 stroke system. Wish me luck. I might post some pictures or video when I am done with the project.

RE: Evolution 1.00
You would be far better off using aluminum tubing rather than copper tubing from a heat transfer point of view
