Mds carb

A friend gave me a MDS 48 today but he has lost the carb for it, Where could I find one? Horrizon does not carry them anymore and I have no idea where to look. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Jim, I did not know the magnum carbs will fit. hopefully I can find one in the for sale wanted section before I drop $35 on a new one.

Is a reliable UK supplier.

However a Want ad in the buy/sell area may well bring a free carb as many people in the USA appeared to have replaced the original carb with an [ expensive replacement ] . The early carbs can be problematic but I have had good results with all my MDS engines and almost every one I have set up for others. Just follow the instructions.

RE: Mds carb

If Horizon still has some of these left they work fine. It is the .38 helicopter carb I got thur my LHS for $11 new. It does have a longer throttle shaft from carb ,but that can be cut shorter if you have to. I bought 2 and they work great. MDS like low hitro and a fox idle bar plug.
