IT"S RUSSIAN!
Hey folks,
This engine is definately Russian ( I know 'cause I'm russian and can read the instructions). The manual just calls it the "micro engine" (I don't think that's the name, but...). maybe if you scan some more of the pages, or even the box it came in, and send the pics to me I could read on and see if they mention a manufacturer..... My email address is : [email protected] |

im not sure, but that engine looks like a MDS .15, doesn't it???
it wasnt probably translated to english, since it was probably sold in the russian market  |
Russian engine.
This is Russian build engine for control line speed.
In English you would pronounce the name similar like Z-AST- CUM 2.5 cubic cm. Produced not far from Moscow ( Ivanovo?). Very popular in Russia for those who don’t have ability build their own or buy ‘Rossi’ or ‘Nelson’. Build to run on FAI fuel (no nitro). Produced for over 20 years. Pretty close to ‘Rossi’. I had my first of them in 1982, I think. Yours looks a bit lighter ( less aluminum around exhaust) , but almost the same. |
Engine
Are people still using these engines and what would it be worth?

RE: Engine
This is CSTKAM-2.5 KR . Russian glow engine designed for U/C speed models.
THIS ENGINE HAVE SAME DESIGN AND DATA AS ROSSI .15 Working volume - 2.5 cubic centimeters (approx 0.15 cu.in.). Speed 22000 rpm without pipe and 28000 with pipe. I have one NIB engine for sale. |
RE: Engine
Heres one on now.
http://cgi..com/ws/SAPI.dll?ViewItem...category=19164 they usually go for around $70.00 where the**** is type in com without the space between , They don't want you to see their competitors. I can't even write Yours is an earlier model with spun aluminum pipe. The newer ones actually have a cast pipe(which is heavier). They are fairly common and made by the MDS folks. Max |
RE: Engine
It looks like what's usually called an Ucktam. I've got an engine test somewhere on the .09 version and it's a screamer.
