Tower Hobbies .75 inverted muffler needed.
I need to find a inverted muffler for the Tower Hobbies .75/GMS .76 and cannot find one. I am mounting this one inverted in a H9 HELL CAT. How about mufflers which have mounting patterns very close. Does anyone know if a Super Tiger .75 header will bolt on a Tower .75.

The ST 60, 75, and 90 all have the same muffler bolt pattern, and it is different from the Tower 75. I think the GMS is the only one that is exactly the same.

Ernie,
I cannot find anything other than Pitts mufflers for these engines. Do you know of any that are real close. The tower engine is tapped, so I could slot the holes slightly on the muffler. I really want it inverted, not side mounted.:D |

Have you gone back and reread the threads such as "Tower 75 muffler options?"

I have done many searches, and can find an inverted muffler. All the threads I find of muffler options, and better mufflers pertain to the stock mufler and a pitts muffler.:(

Try going to the reps forum and ask Bax if he has any ideas....

I have two Tower 75s and my son-in-law has one. We use Slim-Line pitts style mufflers for the OS 91 FX. It is very close, but you will have to use a small rat-tail file and file the holes slightly closer together on the muffler, then it will screw on fine. Also runs well with that muffler.
Now......I don't know how much good the Pitts style will do you if you are inverting the engine, but Slimline may make one of their Sport Scale (or whatever they call it) mufflers, which don't muffle much, but can point the stingers straight down on an inverted engine. If they make one for the OS 91 you should be in business. Clair |

Azcat59,
Any muffler made for the Gms .76 fits perfect, but Bisson does not make an inverted muffler. I wish you would have responded faster, because I ran out and bought a Saito 1.00 now.:D My brand new Tower .75 and Bisson pitts muffler are for sale in the market place now for $105.00. I just recieved the .75 and muffler on wendsday.:( I all ready have a Tower .75/Bisson in my Shoestring and it really preforms, that is why I was going to use another in my Hell Cat. Well, I guess the Saito will even be cooler. I would send it back to Tower, but they are going to subtract the $25.00 promotional discount and charge me shipping for my old order because my total will drop down to low.:( I guess someone is going to get one hell of a deal. |

MotorMan, sorry I didn't see your post earlier. The Tower 75 and Bisson for $105 is a great deal, if I didn't already have a 75 still new in the box I'd buy it! If it doesn't sell, send me a private email.
