low end adjustment

I have a OS 46FX that has started giving me a problem. It idles good but when i quickly advance the throttle then quickly bring it back to idle it will die. Like I said it will sit and idle with no problem it only happens when I quickly come to idle from full throttle. Ive made a few dead stick landings because of this. Any idea what the problem is. Engine has approximately 20 hours on it.
I have it on a 4 * 40 so I have to goose it to get moving and it frequently stops when i retard the throttle. Other than that it runs fantastic.

RE: low end adjustment

Replace the glow plug.

Check your high speed needle to make sure that its not running lean. It should be set about 300 rpm below max rpm to the rich side. It sounds like your high speed may be lean causing the engine to heat up and lose compression. It will run at high speed, but when you reduce the throttle, the compression is too low to maintain the engine running.

Also check for air leaks too. Air leaks at the high speed needle, at the carb throat and even the back plate. A lot of folks have had that problem with the remote high speed needle.

Cheers,
