smoke system for 91 2c........is it possible?
 

Wow, i am in the mood for questions tonight

Anyway
I have a sk 91 that i am installing in a funtana x50 for christmas. I should be a good match and have plenty of power. I have always wanted a smoke system and am wondering if i am being realistic in persuing one. I have done alot of searches and have found mixed results. Aparently it is harder to get it hooked up on a 2c because there muffler heat is not hot enough. But some people have had success. How do you hook one up, do you need an extra servo (btw, i have the extra channels on my radio and reciever)? Do you get an electric pump or is there something else you need to buy? How much do the pumps way? How big of a smoke tank do you need, can they be less than 4 ounces? Basically, if the all up wieght of the whole smoke system is at or under 8 ounces i would be fine.

After doing further research it apears that there are 3 ways you can hook up a smoke system.
1. Electric Pump
2. Oscillating Pump
3. Using only muffler pressure and small micro servo to control fuel through

I am interested in using only muffler pressure because it would not only be the lightest but probabley the cheapest. How does it work when only using the muffler

Macs has a video clip on their site with this system in action. Looks like a 40-60 sized trainer they are using for that demo.

Just saw that and it looked sweet.
Looks like i would not be adding much more than the 4 oz tank i would use. I think i might try it and see how it works. I will have an extra muffler because i baught a pitts with the engine so there is definatley room to experiment.
