RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
Burlington?
Oh boy... You didn't think to ask the seller what size the motor was? Or perhaps why the displacement markings were chiseled/filed/worn off? I guess a picture would help decide what motor you bought. |
RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
hey for 5$ who would complain....lol yes it was at the burlington swapmeet....lol i did asked the guy and he said it was either an )S25 or an OS32 i compared it to a 40 and it looks the same but the back plate is diffrent #

RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
Is it a BB or plain bearing engine? What model carb? #'s should be there on the front or back side......Can you post a pic?
I can do the johnny carson thing and hold an envelope up to my forehead,.............that always works. LOL |

ORIGINAL: Medevack1 ok the second pic the back plate has the # 2907 and the carb says on the back 3H and below it it has a #2 and it is BB ----------- You paid only $5 for that engine? You lucky rascal. My guess is that it is either an SF or F SR series. I'm leaning toward the SF at the moment. Ed Cregger |
RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
lol yeah it was at the bottom of a pile of junk and i asked the guy what size it was and he said some guy used it for racing thats why the #s were scratched off.. i think is a bunch of bull but i still paid 5.00 he wanted 15.00 and i kind of talked him down due to the #s being scratched...lol the engine has awsome compression i just dont know the size..... :(

RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
It might also be a .32F ABN engine from the early Nineties. They are really sweet running engines.
What size prop is mounted on it? Did it come with that prop? Ed Cregger |
RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
no it didnt come with a prop thats a APC 8x5
|
RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
Went ot the OS site and it indicates that the 32F ABC came with a 3H carb standard. The .28 came with a 2H.
The engine is out of focus but pretty shiney, looks like you scored a nice deal there.......... |
