Well... compare with the same prop. Dropping 1 inch from the dia, you cut a LOT of load off.

If yo are going to do testing to see what improvement you get: Change one thing at a time. Otherwise, the data is essentially valueless.

firefighter, you've had the same experience people at my field have had! It's like a poor mans UltraThrust muffler. I just wish they made one for a TT 36 heli engine so I wouldnt have had to buy that daggum tuned pipe...

These mufflers DO help with power, but there is a price if you are not careful, because they have no baffles, they generate less backpressure and therefore less tank pressure. You might run into problems because of this if your tank is long (or even not).

I had a Tower .46 that would die every time I accelerated vertically (i.e. loop) and after 3 weeks I found out the muffler was the culprit, an O.S. muffler fixed my problem :) at the cost of much of my power :(

Muffler Pressure

Joshua,
I am now having problems with my OS 40LA dying in climbs. Yes I did remove my baffle. I did increase some power but if this is causing dead sticks....... I'll put it back in and see what happens. thanks for info.
