Engine Storage
If you were to put a glow engine in long term storage, say several years, how would you prepare the engine and what would you store it in? I have several ideas, to include sealing the engine in a vacuum pack bag. What is your method?

Engine Storage
You need to flush out all the remnents of the glowfuel/lubricant with something like auto transmission fluid.
I heard of people storing them in coffee cans filled with ATF too. If you could find some kind of bag that would hold up to the oil and suck all the air out before you seal, it would work too. Jim |
Engine Storage
I have used Marvel Mystery Oil on boat engines for 20+ years. They are high nitro engines so storage and cleaning must be very thorough and effective. Flush very well with MMO and place in a ziplock storage bag. Thry to force all the air out of it, and put a small piece of cloth soaked with MMO in with the engine. Will last a long time.
