Here is my two cents worth of information. I have five TT46's on five different aircraft. Great motors. I DO NOT break them in. I set the idle and max RPM and then go just a little rich and fly, fly, fly. I use 10 percent fuel and usually a 10/6 prop and an OS plug. I have an UPROAR that I use a 9/7 prop. It just screams and loves it. It has had many gallons of fuel run thru it. I know this doesn't go buy the book, but it works.

i hear they are good to but the throttle transition is slow and hear some are a little finiky, but then again what engines aren't finiky?

I have had 3 of these engines and all are great . I had one that I made a mousse can muffler for and it turned a 11x6 master air prop at 15,600 on 10% fuel. Not bad and great engine for the money. Just my 2 cents worth ;) John McGowan

I agree with the positives! Great engines!
I've got one that is about four years old that has been run lean, slammed into the ground @ about 45 mph, busted case @ carb mount, has either worn out rear bearings or connecting rod/crank pin sleeve, and still can knife edge loop my Advance 40! Now that is an engine! (The connecting rod is chewing its own trough in the case.) I have two others in planes and one still in the box. Jeff |

Does this sound about right ? Fuel & prop are the same. Jim |

well how would u rate the TT46 to the Super Tigre 45 or the OS .46 fx??? for overall performance and $$$, i like the ys 45 and the rossi along with the webra motors but dont know much about them. i want to put this engine in a topcap ARF.

Hello Jim!!! I put the 11x6 on the plane(4*40) to actually slow it down a litte on landing. I did not try a 10x6 or 10x7 on it altho it would probally turn a little more rpm with these 2 props. This was with omega pink 10%.Alot of people use the 10 inch props with good results. I now have this engine on a Modeltech Me 109 arf without the header due to fuse restrictions. I did drill out the stock muffler exhaust a little. But with the header/moussecan setup, it was like a whole new engine- idle was dead slow and response was instantaneous! You could actually hear it come onto the pipe when you opened her up!I used a OS #3 plug if I remember right. Your 13,500 rpm sounds about right for stock setup. Happy flying!!

Remove the baffle inside the muffler and your performance will improve!

Shortman... sorry :( but I've never had the other engines to compare the TT to. John

I have a TT.46 on an Altech Porter, a rather large aircraft. It flies it well with 10% fuel and an APC 10x7 prop.

Other engines
I fly the MVVS 49, Webra 50, OS 46FX, Enya 50CX, ST 40 and 45 (ring) and the Rossi 45 (Powerhouse) RE. I had a TT Pro 61. All fly 11x6 APC or MAS props except the ST 40's. I use nothing but 10% Cool Power. The MVVS 49 will approach 15,000 rpm (tuned silencer) and the Webra 50 Speed slightly exceeds 14,000 rpm, The Rossi, OS 46FX (baffleless muffler) reach 13,000 to 13,100, and the Enya 50CX and ST 45 (ring) ar 12,000 to 12,600 rpm. The ST 40GS with 15% Cool Power and 10x6 MAS prop can hit 15,000 rpm for our ST 40/4*40 races. Fuel and prop supplied by club. Right now there isn't one TT Pro 46 flying at our club that I now about. We have a TT 42 and I another tolerated TT pro 61's till last fall. I replaced mine with ST 61 ring in a GP FW-190B ARF and the other was replaced by a OS 61FX in a SIG 4*60.

Don't have any ST's. I do have O.S. .40's and .46SF's. The .46SF's are in need of repair, but the .40 was a very strong engine swinging the same prop as the TT.46, an APC 10x7. I like that prop a lot.
