.91 Prop Question

I have been breaking in my Magnum .91 4-stroke, and broke the 14x8 prop I had on it. LHS only had a 15x8. Will the extra 1 inch make that much difference, I don't want to wind up the engine but I dont want to overload it anyways. Can I get away with using it, or do I have to have the 14x8 ordered in? Thanks

.91 Prop Question

Actually the usual props on that engine are 13-8, 14-6, & 14-8.

The 15-8 is usually used on the Magnum 120.

You might could get away with running the engine a little with the 15-8 if you kept the mixture rich and didn't try to run it wide open throttle?

Wouldn't fly worth a toot?

Good luck,

Jim

Depending on your style of flying, you can also use a 15x4-15x6.

.91 Prop Question

Thanks for the help, I was able to get a 14x8 from another flier. First I'm putting this engine on a Hobbico .60 sized extra. I know the smaller pitch the better climb, but I'm not sure which pitch since I'm only familiar with 2-strokes. After I get good with the extra the engine is going into a TF P-51. What prop suggestions do you have for the two aircraft? Thanks
