How to clean engine externally?

With time and use the fins and exhaust of my TT .46 have become coated with burnt fuel and oil. How can I clean this effectively? Is there a product that can be applied that will remove this residue?

Engine cleaning

Yes, Crock pot and anti freeze works great for me too!

Old, gunky motors, look dam near new. Don't let it boil, just simmer. A few hours will do.

After, dismantle if you already didn't and wipe clean, soak in oil, reaseamble. I use 10wt but everyone has an opinion. ;-)
