O.S. .32 conversion

I just talked with a guest modeller a few months back that he is using a modified O.S. .32 engine and he said that he replace the piston, liner and muffler with an aftermarket parts and there's a great improvement on his engine performance. Does anyone here knows any aftermarket performance parts for the O.S. .32?

Good question, I too would like to know because the liner in my .32 is starting to peel.

Convert your engine from non ringed to ringed with OS parts. It will scream, believe me, and it won't have any more plating peeling problems, ever.

But someone told me that there is really an aftermarket parts for the piston, liner and muffler to make the engine high performance.

The 32SX ABN airplane and the heli ringed type are the current versions. They are high performance the way they are.

It's been rumored that they were coming out with a 37 for years but it has never happened,

It may be possible that the sleeve and piston from a Chinese Magnum/ASP 36 or from a LEO/Mecoa/Megatek 32/37 will fit? All these engines look the same.

32F came out in 1987

The current 32SX came out in 1995

If so, I haven't heard from them lately.

Damned bad memory! There was an outfit that manufactured custom piston/liner sets for many engines, but they have been out of that business for a while now. I believe the name was Dave Shadell, or something similar. Can't get a grip on it at the moment.

The OS .32 series of engines are pretty hot in stock form. My OS .32F-H (ringed) was one of my all time favorite engines. I owned a few of the SX heli engines (ABN), but never got around to using them before unloading my helis. Which series do you have?

That company is www.pspec.com. I think they haven't made custom piston/liners for quite a while. But I do remember seeing the ads.

It`s almost 50$ for those ringed parts from Tower, that`s just crazy when you can get this for 49$ http://www.peakmodel.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=226

I have one and it is great, turning MAS 9-6 at 15300 rpm`s

Yes, but will the Sanye perform at the same high level of the OS .32?

That Sanye looks just like an O.S.!

ASMUND Sounds like you are getting O.S. .32 performance too?

RE: O.S. .32 conversion

And so does the ASP, Magnum, LEO, Megatek, and MECOA

But the original poster originally has a 32F? Which is no longer made or supported?

Ok, so the OS 32 will swing 9-6 at 15000+ too then, well I`m don`t know because this is my first engine in this size so I relly don`t have anything to compare it against. But I know this, it is really cheap, reliable, and have real chrome that will propably last for a long long time.
