Which engine

Which engine?

I really would like to know which engine these guys are using.
Can somebody recognise what engine he is using?
We can’t see the engine much, but I wonder what kind of engine can do 30000rpm on the ground?
Must be heavily modified I guess.

G'day Mate,
It's a Picco pylon racing engine, it is on his back.

Well, 30000 is way to much to be efficient on the propeller; 22000 should be better; here is one .91DF, not mine unfortunately.

Check this out...maybe you can find some info here?

Here's the list of distributors:
http://teampicco.com/distributors.html

Edit: It seems that these are mostly car engines...maybe you can get through to somebody about airplane engines through one of the links though?

I love those high rev engines out there. Well i suspect i am going to end up whit a jett engine sooner or later(Not that it is bad) .

RE: Which engine

I have heard of several people who have modified car engines for airplane use. They cut down the heat sink head, and make a custom prop driver/spinner.[8D]
