mousse can pipe problem

I made a mouse can pipe for my O.S. 60FP that I have mounted on my Killer Chaos. The only reason I put the pipe on was to move the CG aft without adding tail weight. The increase in power from stock is a lot, however, I am having a problem. I cannot lean out the idle mixture enough. It has an airbleed carb and the needle is all the way out. The high end mixture doesn't seem to be that critical....it runs over a wide range of the mixture screw. Would it be advisable to drill the bleed hole slightly larger? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Are you using pressure from the pipe/ mousse can? I had a recent experience with a PIcco 40 that I made a mousse can pipe for. It would not run (couldnt get it lean enough) with pressure line to the tank from the mousse can, but ran fine without it!

If you drill the airbleed slightly, it will pose no problem, as you can allways turn in the screw if its too much air entering.

Yes, I am using a pressure line from the can. I am wondering if my outlet pipe is too small in diameter and the pressure from the pipe is to high. I think I will try it without the pressure line tommorrow.

Thats what I think is happening with my Picco 40. I used a 3/8" outlet stinger and it makes great power and is quiet but the backpressure must be too high. So I will run without it...

Try it without the pressure line and see how it behaves.
