Tower back order their .46

I wonder if Tower engines are tied into Super Tigre back orders till mid January 2008. Xmas is here -what a time to run out of engines............

The Tower, Super Tiger, and GMS engines are all made by GMS and all are on back order.

Has any one checked out www.kangkeusa.com for either the SK .50, or the JBA line of engines? I have three JBA engines, and two SK .50 engines. The .39 JBA is in my Royal ARF trainer waiting to be test flown. The engine turned 18,000 with a 9x5 MA prop during the breakin still in the rich two cycle setting.

What a great time to buy a Magnum or Thunder Tiger then, and see what your missing.

The Super Tiger 40 is an excellent engine.

We were talking about this in a previous thread. I think having O.S. Max drop the .40 LA as well as the blue LA series engines has created a ripple effect in Tower Hobbies' inventory. Tower had plenty of everything, but when the O.S. Max LAs got dropped/backordered it probably created a run on Tower's other less expensive engines. Now the LA series is back in stock, except for the .40 LA, and it's the other engine lines that are suffering from thin availability.

The most devoted of the O.S. Max enthusiasts will probably point to this as just another instance of all of the Chinese engine manufacturers copying O.S. again, but I'd simply chalk it up to supply and demand. ;)
