4 stoke query?
I am thinking of purchasing a asp 4 stoke to go with my new Seagull Extra300s. Problem is that it recomends a .46 2 stoke with no indication of 4 stoke power. I would like enough power for vertical performance. I have no experience with 4 stroke power as i've only used 2 stroke before.
My questions are : 1)What would be a recomended 4 stroke for the model? 2) Are the ASP 4's any good? 3) Any difference in starting and setting up compared to 2 stroke. Thanks for any help in advance guys. |

4 stoke query?
Hello
Sounds like a job for a SAITO .65 very reliable. But then I like my Saitos. good luck. |
4 stoke query?
Saito .72, is more powerful and lighter than the Saito .65

4 stoke query?
Asp  Isn't that some kind of snake?
Don't know aboot the ASP, the Saito .72 would get my vote. O.S. 70 would probably not be enough to hover, .91 would be toooo heavy. Good Luck :) |
Choices
I see you're not getting any support for the ASP and that is good. The Saito .72 would my choice also, or a YS .53 if you could find one.

4 stoke query?
Looks like the writing is on the wall gents. Thing is, would a 58" airframe suffer some serious flutter and be nose heavy with a .72 bolted onto the front?

4 stoke query?
Saito .72 by all means. Have one in my WM 40 size Dago Red and love it. Sounds almost like a Merlin (well almost) and goes like a bat out of you know where

What's wrong with an ASP?
The ASP .61 might have enough verticle performance. But not as much as an OS or Saito .70. IMO If you want more verticle performane and don't want to pay too much for it. I would go with a .50 size two stroke.

4 stoke query?
Would an Irvine 53 do it?
|
4 stoke query?
The Saito .72 weighs about as much as most .46-.50 size 2 strokes do. I wouldn't worry much about the weight issue if you go with this engine.
