Moki needle valve problem

1 Attachment(s)
I ground down the little stub on top of the needle valve and used a dremel to grind a slot to use a screw driver to adjust high speed NV. This is a new Moki 2.10. I cannot get it to draw fuel with the needle valve in. I pull fuel line off of carb and flip prop and fuel squirts out. I have fuel line connected to carb and take needle vavle off and fuel squirts out of where the needle valve screws onto. Put nv back on and it doesn't draw. I've done this several times and it draws without it on and doesn't when the nv is on. I've had nv anywhere from 2-5 turn out. This is my second Moki and the other one I didnt grind the slot in the top of nv and didnt have this problem. I am wondering if I might of did some damage to the nv by grinding the slot. Any opinions?

From the loooks of your picture, the low speed disk is not lined up with the mark on the crankcase.
This could be your fuel issue?

I would put the disc back to center and if that did not help make sure the caarb is not plugged up. You said your getting fuel from where the needle goes in when you remove the needle. Are you getting any fuel in the carb when you do this ??

Thanks Julian

When I read your post I went to look at it and remembered that the +/- marks were on the outside of the disk on my other Moki I had. Somehow the disk had been turned 180 degrees and the +/- was on the inside. It primes right now and fired right up in the shop. Thanks for the good eye.

Hi Andy-

You fired up the Moki in your Patty yet?

Hey George,

I have not had the plane up yet but have been running the engine a little. I just picked up a stronger servo for the rudder , and might be able to get it in the air in a week or two.
