replacment carb for a mark 135

I am running a mark 135 with a stock carb. It is real touchy ao adjust. It runs good and idles good ( have never had a flame out), but it allways runs rich in mid range. I read an artical some time ago about using a different carb. I think it was a OS. would like some input on this. Thanks.

Have you ever run a Perry carb?

I have run a perry on other engines and really didn't like them that much. I would prefer a carb with a high and low neddle adjustment.

if you don't like a Perry, you don't like it and that's the way it is.

For others reading this thread, the large brass or silver disk at the base of the high speed needle valve is the low speed adjustment. Usually one or two clicks one way or the other is the most adjustment that is ever needed with a Perry.

OS7D carb. is a great replacement for any twostroke engine in the 90-210 or 15-35cc size. They are not made anymore but you might be able to find one used here on RCU or on the e.bay. The throttle response becomes very linear with this carburetor.

thanks for the replys. The os carb suonds like it might work, but i would rather use a carb that is still in production. Does anybody else have an idea for a carb that would work?
