Micro-Jett 2000 ?
This little gem is being developed for the US Government (Defense Department) for one of the MAV (Micro Air Vehicle) projects. The goal is to develop a miniature spy plane. At this time the engine is not available for sale to the public, but is an example of how JETT Engineering continues it's tradition of leading edge innovation. This tiny MAV engine is .035 cu inch displacement and weighs 28 gm all up. :D |

RE: Micro-Jett
With a muffled tuned pipe, it will be as quiet as a noisy electric high revving motor.
Energy density per unit weight is the glow engine's advantage, unless you are willing to spend $6k a flight with disposable battery packs. Ed Cregger |
