Engine recomendation

Can someone recomend me an engine for a Big Stik 40, something that can hover the plane.

Not sure anything can hover this plane. But if you put larger elevator and aileron's, any .60 should do the trick.

If it will fit and you can afford the weight try a MDS .68 or a MDS .58 which is slightly larger than a .46 sized engine. Their prices NIB from Horizon are pretty good and dont' fall for the supposed poor reputation, its bogus. I own a total of 6 MDSs and each one of them works great. In fact, got another one coming in the mail this week off of an auction I won.

If running low nitro fuel is not a problem, the Fox .60 is highly rated by MAN. The ringed version may take a while to break in, but they have an ABC version. Make sure you get one with the twin needle carb. The Tower Hobby .60 also did well. Some on this forum have reported quality problems wht the TH engine but several people have the TH .74 at our club without any problems. Fox also has a .74 size, both have the same mounting size as the .60.

engine choice?

Try a Super Tigre 51, a great engine and very reliable. I have had the MDS "experiance" behind me. My friends and I all stay away from them. If you get a good one after a break-in period of several gallons, you spent enough to buy a good engine that runs well after several tanks......Just my view.
