The Easy Sport needs a little more power than a lot of other 40 size planes. They need at least a strong running 46.
There was one at the field at one time that had a ST75 on it. It honked along pretty good. He eventually destroyed it showing off. Some fuel for thought... Easy sport 40 has a 58 X 10.75 wing with a 1.75" thickness Big Stick 60 has a 58 X 10.75 wing with a 2" thickness They both have 623 sq in area. So therefore the Easy Sport 40 should easily hande a 60 size engine. However, a Falcon 56, though it has lines very much like a Easy sport 40, is a much smaller plane with the 30 - 40 size engine in mind. They only have a 56 X 8.75 wing that is only 1.25 " thick. It only has 490 sq in wing area. Enjoy, Jim |

Not to pee on anyone's cornflakes here but...
The Easy Sport is essentially GPs version of the CG Falcon 56. A intermediate trainer. It's not a 3D machine...nor a pylon racer nor even impressive for that matter. It IS however a fine flying model when powered with the engine the manufacturer recommends...that being a .40-.462C. When you start piling in all sorts of metal to the nose...you open up a can of worms. Good Luck! 'Race |
