And unless you added some oil to your Omega it is only 17% oil according to their website.

I might need to put a couple of ounces of castor to it then. I wanted some 15% fuel and it was either Omega, Cruel Power or 22% Ritchs Brew.

That is a shame . I feel Iam very lucky to have access to all the Sig fuel Ican afford. Wal Mart has castor in the pharmacy . I use the Humco brand, no sugar, no additives.

If you want more power use less oil, there is extra oil for protection on lean runs, but it does rob power. But be prepared for a shorter engine life.

Why pay that price for drug store castor when you can buy it for about $20 a gallon from Fox?

I can do better than that:

Why am I paying $12 a QUART at my LHS when I can get a gallon of it from Fox for $20!!!! Thanks for the heads up!

Man, I need to get better at this interweb thingy....

Personally Iseldom have that much use for it and a gallon of castor would sit around a very long time. So instead I grab a $2 bottle when I am picking up chips and salsa,,,,,and beer,,,,,and pizza,,,,,, and rolaids

I have to agree with jeffie on this one. It would take me years to go through a gallon and it would probably turn to syrup by the time I used the last of it.

I'm going to have to ask why you said that.

I have a quart of Morgan's castor. I add about 2 oz to a gallon of Omega 15. It costs something like $7.99.

No, I looked at the website. I just checked again and prices are different. It must have let me in to the dealer side of the site this morning.

Spinnerrow,
My .60 NX is holding up just fine. I have not had any problems whatsoever with it. I would not be concerned about the Rod at all, unless you try to spin it 17-18 thou. The engine makes awesome power in the 15,000 bracket where it performs like a mule.:D

Yes that is the correct pricing. I saw prices for several items and all were a fair percentage below the normal price. The site must have had a glitch that time I checked. It even looked slightly different.

Yea, its too bad Tower had its little parting of the ways with Sig. It wasnt Sigs fault the Chinese factory wouldnt sent the ARFs they made and the nitro shortage certainly wasnt their fault(again China) and the balsa shortage was because the wind turbines are eating it all up.
They did do a web page update recently.
Iahve friends that work at Sig and they are just a bunch of airplane guys like us that want to make airplane stuff to sell.

Just for giggles.

APC 9x9 - 16,400rpm

Omega Aero 15%
94 degrees and 70% humidity

I might try this one on my Strega this weekend but when I ran the 9x10, I had not climb out and since I'm taking off on a grass field, it was a bit of a challenge to get airborne.

My 10x8 was getting 14,700 to 14,800 today as well. With it being so hot, I should probably run a 10x7 to get it more into the sweet spot.

Thank You for posting that Morgans info, Ithink a lot of people mistakenly believe the Omega has 18% not 17% .

RE: Porting an ABL/ABC Engine

When you are accustomed to Omega and start using Wildcat Premium you will think that Wildcat Premiumdoesn't have as much oil.

The Omega has 17% oil. The Wildcat Premium only has 16% oil. There is difference is the ratio of synthetic to castor.

Wildcat Premium is 80/20 and Omega is 70/30.

With a slightly lean run, the Wildcat Premium will feel rather dry whereas the Omega with more castor oil as well as more total oil will feel like it has more oil

PREMIUM Available in 5%, 10%, and 15% nitro's has a fuel for all of your 2-stroke needs. Wildcat Premium contains 16% total oil with a composition of 80% synthetic and 20% degummed racing castor and can be used in all 2-stroke engines that are ABC or AAC ball bearing engines.

http://www.wildcatfuels.com/newsite/...100-prem-1.jpg

Wildcat has a Premium Extr with 18% oil at the 80/20 ratio that works better in my Four strokes

PREMIUM XTRA Available in 10% and 15% nitro's contains 18% total oil with a composition of 80% synthetic and 20% degummed racing castor. The extra 2% oil being for ringed, bushed engines, break-in, and where extra oil is simply wanted or required by warranty.

http://www.wildcatfuels.com/newsite/.../100-premx.jpg
