I know its an OS engine..it was in Super Curare i saw at a funfly but i dint get a chance to ask the pilot..i have never see one with that type of carb until the 55AX, that engine is definitely befor the AX series...its not a 91fx, cuz they didnt have carbs like that, its not a SF they had standard carbs...this one has an angled HSN

Looks like a Thunder Tiger Pro .61 to me. That's nothing like an OS, not the muffler, not the head, not the carb. All TT.

Click their photo, note same HSN angle, muffler, head.

That's a TT carb from 2001 or later. The engine itself just doesn't make it as any kind of OS.

The Thunder Tigers are very rare in the area where I live. I only see them when I visit some ways away from home.

I was around south central Georgia some, a few years ago, and all you would see would be Thunder Tigers because Hodges Hobbies supported them.

The hobby shops around here are typically Horizon Hobby oriented.

That is a very nice Curare. I've seen nice ones at SPA meets but that one is blended and flaired better than any I've ever seen

The TT61 Pro's are common in the south. We call it the poor man's OS around here.

They run good, just slightly heavier and slower than the OS line.

FYI, Tower has it at $129. I'd pick up some props and a spinner, hit $150 and get free shipping, then use their $20 off code 011D2 ;)

The TT .61 Pro isn't their best engine, it is heavy, and like the OS FX is a bit weak for a .61. Most of the other TT's have excellent power, especially the 120, 46, 40, and 36.

RE: Name this Engine

G'day A friend of mine has a TT61 in a large trainer. Goes well but like the TT46 it likes to drop the back half of its muffler and they arn't cheap. The pylon blokes here use the TT46 pro for low cost pylon and they really scream too on a RAM 10 x 6 but they all wire their mufflers so that when the thing does come undone (and many do) they don't loose the bits.
