Default Help Identify a Transistorized Single Channel PCB

I obtained a home made GG transmitter and it contained 2 circuit boards. 1 is the pulser and the other is the RF section. The pulser is a ACE Neil Deye type as featured in Grid Leaks Sept/Oct 1965 Vol 6 Number 5. Though the pulser looks like it has some added capacitors. Perhaps ACE decided to add them when they offered the kit? The RF section looks to be from an old OS transmitter. I'm not sure. The transformer has an OS-T31 lettering on it and the transistors are Matsusita. My guess is that the original builder took a single channel transmitter, added the pulser and came up with a GG transmitter. The transmitter is supposed to use a 36 inch piece of music wire for the antenna. In the RF picture, please ignore the brass tube. I think this was added to shield the antenna wire from the interior of the aluminum chassis box. Any information on the RF section would be great. Thanks.

I think the RF board is from a very early OS Pixie single channel transmitter TA-1. Anybody have any information on them? Thanks.

OK, thanks. I thought for sure it would be a Pixie.

I must disagree. The old Pixie manual I have shows a very similar board, but identified as TA-2. Some of it is a mirror image as if the transmitter controls were switched to the other side, though.

Mystery solved. The RF board is from an OS Pixie. The earlier version known as the square box. I did a search on it and one showed up on eBay. This is where I got the pictures. It is definitely an OS Pixie RF board. Thanks guys for your help. Now does anybody have any specs that came with the Pixie for this board?

Thanks again.

Yep, you have the later version of the Pixie. Very similar though.
