Default Beechcraft staggerwing

I've been building a Royal Beechcraft staggerwing 1/8 SCALE. The engine is a .60 Fox eagle, and in order to conceal the exhaust, I've installed a 5/8" i.d. silicone exhaust tube through the fuse exiting just beyond the front landing gear. Total length is 12". My question is this: Will this setup significantly reduce the engine's performance and/or power. Please advise. Patrick

found your post, I have the same plane. best I can say is to run it. as long as the engine can breathe I don't see a problem. post pictures here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-s...ght=royal+kits
