Default Cirrus Hobby shack sport four radio and k&b engine from 1976

I have a radio and an engine it was bought in New York around 1976.

Radio: Cirrus hobby shack sport four in a box with instructions and warranty paper.

Engine: 0.40 K&B NO.8360 with Perry pump and carburetor. Serial number is 2553 in a box
with tools, instructions paper and paper on the Perry pump, carburetor.

I wonder if these things are worth something?

Tomas.

Only to some one who wants it!
The transmitter and reciever are out of date and not upgradeable, but the servo's can still be used. The engine if it hasn't been worn out is still useable. [&:]

If my eyes aren't deceiving me it looks like the frequency on the receiver says 27.045 MHZ. If that's true, this unit would still be legal to use. But personally, I'd hesitate to use it because of the potential for interference problems unless you can determine there isn't a problem where you live. Some modelers in the U.S. are using the old equipment (with the old frequencies) and not having problems, but the potential for problems might be there. Possibly, it's not a problem in Sweden. Check with other modelers in your area.

The engine has only a running time of 20 minutes.

This is things that I have in my hobby room and I will never use it.

It´s just fun to have old things at home and I was wondering if
some collector was looking for things like this.

Put 'em on E-Bay, you will find out what they are worth!
Let me know when you do, I'll bid on the radio. I've been looking
for a decent quality, basic 4 channel on 27! (Yes, to actually use.)
Futaba still makes one, but aimed at the R/C armor and robot crowd.
Pretty cheezy though.

Nice looking radio and engine. Yep, looks like a 27.045Mhz unit. Fully useable if you don't have excessive interference. e-Bay would be a good way to market it. I would sell the radio separate from the engine.

Good luck !

Having had quite a few of those in the day I never saw any Hobby Shack radio on any 27 MgH frequency. The antenna would have been a center loaded one and the one shown is definitely for the 72 mgh frequencies. It is quite useable and still legal to fly.

I remember a lot of 27 MHz radios but I don't remember any center loaded antennas much past about 1969 or so. I have no reason to doubt the 27 MHz, sticker on the receiver.
