Dawn Patrol
This past Sunday was the Dawn Patrol fly-in at Ellington CT. Another great event. Sun was shining, blue skies, mild wind, perfect temperature and a gathering of terrific golden era planes. This fly-in is developing a nice following of vintage flyers. There was a squadron of 4 SE5a's that posed for pix and then took to the skies. There were a pair of very big Sopwith Pups (40%), a beautiful 1/4 scale Tiger Moth, and a Top Gun contestant (Dave Johnson's Fokker D VI) among many others. Put this one on your calendar for next year. It's a one-day event, but it's a good one.
