LB..and Keystone Pacer Flash kit
Fellows: I have two LB kits. One is spoken for and the other has the parts punched out which I want to keep. I need some information as to how to copy the decals. I will lend the other kit to any responsible party who wants to copy it, however. I just can't do beter than that.
I also have a very rare Keystone Models Pacer Flash kit. 34" span for 049 and 075 engines and made back in the late fifties, if my memory serves me right. This kit is new in the box and not for sale, but can be loaned for duplication. Keystone had a patent on the wing construction..which was shaped and slotted leading and trailing edges and you just slipped the ribs in and glued the two halves together. Novel idea and no spars. I built the larger Keystone Pacer for .25 years ago. It had plywood sides you nailed to the front and cabin bulkhead and pulled the tail ends together. Wing was made the same way. I duplicated the kit last year and flew it with a Fox 25 and 3 channels. I should have braced the wing as the larger Pacer had two little braces front and back that were (get this!) screwed into the leading and trailing edge. I should have known better and having epoxied those itty bitty braces in there, I should have made stronger ones..and the wing folded on me on a landing approach. Only 3 planes I know of that Keystone made. The Keystone Pacer and the Pacer Flash (smaller version) and the Capital Special (more conventional stick constructin). I have all these three kits and efforts to find more or anything about Keystone Models has met with a brick wall...nothing...
Regards to everyone.
