Fiberglass fuselages

Fiberglass fuselages
Been going to yard sales again and came across an unusual oldie adaption.
Found a fiberglass fuselage for a Falcon 56.
I seem to remember back in the late 1970's that some firm was making fiberglass replacement fuselages for popular sport models. The Falcon 56, one of the Skylarks, a Mambo, the Midwest Texan, and a couple of the gliders. Then foam took off and they tried to duplicate the fuselages in foam shapes.
Anyone can think of the name of these firms? or just what A/C got duplicated?

RE: Fiberglass fuselages
William,
I recall seeing them advertized in MAN from maybe 1963 on. Sorry but I can't remember the name of the company. There was an outfit called Action Industries in Baltimore who was making a glass fuse for the Sr. Falcon. The glass work was excellent. They refined the shape of the fuselage slightly, getting away from that boxy look of the CG Falcon.

The vendor thought it to be of 1965 vintage. And the corners were just a bit more rounded off.
That may have been the manufacturer. I was a big A.M. reader then, and went through my old issues, but could find nothing advertised.
(Also have a few more locals interested in the Cessna 170 again, and will have to make another run of parts. Presume one of your's is flying now.)
