Idon't have one for sale, but I'm currently building one that I found on Ebay last month!

When I'm done, I'd be happy to loan you the plans so you can scratch build one if you'd like.

Since I cut the plans up into smaller pieces when I build, they should all be smaller than that.

When I'm done I'll send them to you to copy.

My mistake! It looksalot like mine in the bones, except it's twice the size. Mine is only a 16" wing span.

Well, long story short, fc227 has been taken care of. He was looking for a wing to replace his (which folded up) and I sold him the one I had just built for my Scout 15. So now I get to scratch build from plans a second wing. I've added some extra spars to it, and now it resembles a SIG 4*Star wing. I traced out a rib from the plans, made some plywood rib templates, and using my bandsaw cut them to size. Sanded to final fit, notched for spars and voila! Pics below show the 2nd wing going together.

This scratch building could catch on!

I'm looking forward to seeing how this "old school" trainer flies! I'm putting a new Fox .15 on it. We'll see!

Mark... I had one too years ago and loved it. Is there any chance you could get the plans scanned and post a .pdf of them here or email them to me? I would definitely build another one.

Kinko's might have one but not too sure. Not a common thing to be able to scan large documents like that. I am glad to see all the Scout action here. I only saw one other one until these recent Scout threads. Flew the pants off of it many years ago.

Hey All,
I also hold a fondness for the Craft Air Scout 15 and I searched for 25+ years before I found one. I really loved the great relaxed flying that she provided me so many times till that fateful day that my Citizenship radio expired. I had the sad experience of watching her fly gracefully out of sight and never to be seen again. With all the history now let me let you all know I have a PDF of the plans of her as well as her sister ship the Cowboy. Both of these little planes are just crying to regain the ability to show the bARF type planes what it's all about. They are a very easy planes to scratch build and you'll have the satisfaction to say I "BUILT" her myself. Please send me a PM or E-mail and we'll go from here.
TTYL,
Bruce

A BIG Thank You to croweville for sending me a pdf of the plans. What sweet memories this has brought back! The Scout's 1/8 by 3/8 basswood spars with a full span balsa sheer web set taught me how to make the lightest wings, and I still use that today on all my scratch build projects. Thanks Bruce! The Craft Air Scout will live on.

Just finished mine up today with the final touches, here's a few pics I took yesterday evening.

Ihope to maiden it on Tuesday, when the weather calms down. If it flies as good as it looks, I'll be very happy! It has a new Fox .15 and during the ground test I did today, it was turning 12,800 RPMon an 8x4 prop. Which is a little over 2 lbs of static thrust and the plane came out at about 2 lbs, 12 oz.
