Need Plans for a Sterling Citabria
Anyone have a spare set of plans for the larger rubber free flight version of the Sterling Citabria? Happy to pay a reasonable price for the orginals or a copy. Please reply to this post if you have a set.
Best regards,
GPB

RE: Need Plans for a Sterling Citabria
The John Pond plans collection, now offered by the AMA, lists a Sterling kit #E5, a Champion Citabria, 34" span. The list has check marks for "R/C" and "Gas" but that may be because Sterling often advertised their kits as suitable for several kinds of flying, FF, RC, and CL. I think this kit could also be built for free flight rubber. Its construction was a lot like the Guillow kits.
Go to the AMA website and select Plans Service. There are several Pond lists, this one is under the "Scale" models list. There are some other Citabrias listed too.
You might also want to check the following website:

This group is about preserving Sterling airplanes; they seem to be more like collectors, not in the business of selling plans and kits but the site has useful info about the numerous model kits the Sterling Company produced. If you have something, a kit, plans, or decals for a Sterling kit, they might trade something they have for something you have.
