RE: "SEA-CAT"
Hello:
I have a complete kit, not in original box. Another kit was my first kit built airplane, got it as a Christmas Kit the first year they were produced. Interested in NIOB. (not in original box)? Email me off line - for the right amount - I might be willing to part with it. [email protected]

RE: "SEA-CAT"
There's a Sea Cat kit on eBay. Spendy, but this a reliable seller I have done business with two or three times. Also know him outside eBay.

Here is a picture of a Sea Cat I built from plans for a pal of mine about 9 years ago. We flew it off of our runway with an landing gear
made out of aluminum. Never took of water. It is a great flyer if you like slow flight.Power by OS 26 four cycle. I still have model in my shop

RE: "SEA-CAT"
I have a Berkely Sea-Cat in the box.
I also have A Dave Platt Bucker Jungmeister in the box.
I realize I will not likely build these kits because my interests have changed. I am tempted to move them on to make room for other planes I might actually fly.
Any input would be welcome.

RE: "SEA-CAT"
One of my early models was a Sea Cat - flew on rudder only around 1958 give or take a year. Later found one on e-Bay. What a miserable kit (Berkley). I built it never the less. Flew it one season with an OS 20, neat taking off and landing on water, but I got bored with it and sold it at Perry swap meet in '98. You can only store so many models that you no longer enjoy flying. Kind of wish I had kept it to convert to electric, but not bad enough to build another one.

RE: "SEA-CAT"
hiya all,
I was doing searches for some of my Dad's kits because unfortunatly he is moving from a home to a condo and I have to sell all his models. 300+
One that he has is the original Sea Cat (original box) I have already begun posting on EBAY - under jwphinney - One thing that is extremely important to him is that someone that shares his love of the craft purchases them. He has an amazing array of planes which I am sure will interest all of you
Pilot, Berkeley, Jetco and more.
If you are interested please take a peak it will take me the next two months to sell everything he has.
Anne

RE: "SEA-CAT"
Hi Annie. I'm the person who contacted you about possibly getting copies of the building plans and instructions. Red, why do you say that it's a miserable kit? Is there anything in particular about the construction that makes it especially difficult to build? It looks like a beautiful plane.

RE: "SEA-CAT"
I have a nice set of plans for the Sea Cat in my private collection should anyone want a copy. The plans are from the original 1950s MAN article by Henry Struck. The plane was soon kitted by Berkeley. My plan is restored and in high-res .PDF format. Just e-mail me at [email protected] and be sure to mention "Sea Cat". I will e-mail it back. No charge.
