I have mine at 245mm from leading edge of top wing at the centre section. Peter states in the build directions to set the cog on or just before or just arf of the rear cabane centre strut. I found that it was better for landing with a more forward c of g than this.

If Iíd known that you were going to paint it I would have suggested that you use 1/4Ē fine line tape on the edge of the red and used it as a red pinstripe to separate the black and white. Oh well.

Looks like the cause of all the problems is Parkinsonís Disease. The low BP and the dizziness and change of handwriting and expression all are symptoms of it. Donít know when they are going to let me go home but Iíd love to see you.

Hi Chuck

You can order the plans from the AMA be sure to ask for the parts templates and you can cut your parts yourself. I'm not sure if any kit cutters are cutting the parts. You can also download the manual and templates from
Wix.com clasicair created by mrdhud based on blank-website | Wix.com!
Looking forward keep us posted.

There is a 1/4 Waco available from a Kit Mfg. It's probably a better size considering the up Sizing in planes today.
Peter Barth is the Manufacture.. Proctor and Vogelsang aero both sell them.
Worth taking a look.

George
George, you could build the wings using the new modified design that uses a spar connector that runs from the center of the center section out to the 4th rib in each wing panel. You would need to make the 8 spar connectors from 6061 T6 aluminum. You would need to source 4, C shaped aluminum extrusions that would be at least 1 1/2Ē long and glass them inside the center section of each wing to accept the spar connectors. Drill and tap the extrusions to capture and hold the wing panels in place. Use 4-40 socket head screws for this. It can easily be done and with the new design for the wings you get lighter and stronger along with an exact scale outline.

Bob,
I'm not familiar Kit Mfg, did you mean Kit Cutters? If it is, can you give me a little more information to search for the kit, ie designer. Any help would be appreciated. Got an email from Proctor yesterday saying they don't sell the Barth kits anymore. They said to contact Vogelsang.
