You you have the edition, can you scan in TIF or BMP format. Then ship via e:amail attachment to the URL noted in the below web site.

That is the one. The cute homely little bugger.
I have full size plan as per your centre picture. But not the one to right and left. Can you place into TIF or BMP format , then visit below noted web site, and punch the mailbox icon. Should automatically direct you to an internet mailer, where you then can attach the images.
I am currently having a bugger of a time trying to get the nose wheel to make contact without adding ballast. The radio gear of today weighs much less, and the model shown was balanced for that earlier equipment which used B batteries, tuneable receivers, escapements, etc.
Wanna laugh. So far I have built this from leftover balsa, a $2 Cox obtained at a swapmeet, a $10 radio (missing one servo), donated sheets of non-identical covering, a $0.25 fuel tank, and have not yet reached $20 for everything. Talk about constructing a model on the cheap side.

Wm: Using either TIF or BMP in a Zip file, the attachment is over 10Mb which is too big for my ISP to accept as an e-mail attachment.

I think I'd move the main gear back a tad--it's practically right under the CG--probably accounts for CoosBay's problem.
I love those tubby old designs. Aubrey Kochman had a very similar one in the same size--name escapes me at the moment.

Hi Bill;
Greetings from Florida.
As I mentioned to you via PM, I just flew over to Fl and wont be back to AZ until May, and am away from my Mag archives, I may have that issue, but cannot be sure rite now. But do remember the Blippy design quite well, as it published in the very first AAM mag I ever purchased a way back in '57, I believe. I have always loved the little Blippy, and finally obtained a set of original plans via eBay back around 2000 or so, and a Buddy in TN, Lloyd Bishop, cut 2 Blippy kits for me, which I have stashed in my collection. When I get back to AZ I will check for that old MAN for you. Best regards from Thong Beach Florida,
Joe N.

Joe and Aero ....
The Blippy was a Aubrey Kochman design. About five years later, he was also designer of the 'Lil Roughneck series that was eventially picked up by Top-Flite Models. The Blippy was designed around a .049 to .074 glow or diesel engine, and pitty to those who chose to install an OK Cub engine. Contrairy to what has been noted, should be zero problems concerning rotation at T.O. for back then we hand launched our rudder only models. The landing gear on the two models reminds me of that for the Royal Rudder Bug of years earlier. I have already laser cut parts for the Blippy, but as of yet have not glued anything together because of other presing model demands.
I have the article for the Blippy from the magazine, and as you may see from the posted image, look in the upper left corner for the date and the publisher. (Joe) I did not begin buying A.M. on a regular basis until 1958, well after I began flying controlliners.

Wm,
I knew that r/o models were hand launched at one time ,[still are]but I thought they also did r.o.g off a smooth surface.r/o and galloping ghost were on the way out when I became interested in r/c after flying controline for many years. The radios avaialble locally were heathkit,P.C.S[kraft budget system] Kraft and Orbit.this was 1968-1969.I just remember ads of the time making a big deal of the fact that this model will r.o.g.

Actually, it was all right there in the article--and in the picture. If you look closely at the top photo you'll see that the tail skid and all three wheels are touching at the same time. It think the plane was practically a tail dragger on take-off, with a nose wheel to prevent nosing over. And it was definitely ROG'd. Nice little ship! Jim

I have the above noted magazine issue. In that one or later on a little paragraph was placed, it mentions how Top-Flite is going to kit it.
I also have magazine and plans the the follow-up model the Roughneck Two. I think someone is presently kitting the original, but no one has taken on the second. Mya need to contact Fritze for he would know.
